A hungry, cheerful muncher that lives beside the production tables and swallows whatever is put in front of it. It never means harm, which is exactly why nobody sees the bite coming until the shelves are bare.

Symptoms

  • Tables vanish after a routine clean-up script
  • Restore requests land before anyone finds the backups
  • Dashboards go blank without a single warning
  • Nobody can say who had delete rights
  • Backups turn out to be untested or stale

Weakness

Bind it with least-privilege access, soft deletes and backups restored on a regular schedule, so every bite can be undone. Add a second pair of eyes before any destructive command, and the jaws will only ever gnash at a decoy.
